Over Christmas, I had the great pleasure of shooting a Legacy Session with the Ward Family that will remain unforgettable for me for years to come. Maria and Stefan Gorzelany are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, as well as the 50th anniversary of there family tailoring business in Clifton, New Jersey. Maria and Stefan had two boys and two girls of their own, who have gone on to wed and make them eight grandchildren. (7 girls and 1 boy!). I had the great pleasure of spending the entire day with all of them, beginning at the family store where I had a true behind the scenes look at the history and years Stefan spent working as well as the present day Sunday’s they have a set family time with donuts for all the children.

Stefan gave a quick lesson to each child, allowing them to use his trusted Singer machine especially for me and my lens! It was so much fun to witness all of these cousins together in one space for an entire day, celebrating all they have to be grateful for.

We left the store and head to their home in Kinnelon, New Jersey where we had plenty of snowy hills, hot cider, yummy treats and a real snow flurry. The kids played as we all have at our grandparents houses, where every room is another play area for the imagination. Before the day came to an end, not only did the children sled, squeal and laugh as they went down the steep hills, but so did most ALL of the parents! It was such an incredible fun day. I found it hard to choose what to share that encompassed all the joy and love that surrounded this day so I hope you don’t mind all the photos you have to view!
