Sweet Baby Adelia Anna Harris turned 1 and to celebrate she was blessed in a traditional Korean Dol.

Dol or doljanchi is a Korean tradition that celebrates the first birthday of a baby. This ceremony blesses the child with a prosperous future and has taken on great significance in Korea.  Adelia is already exposed to an array of culture and with her Nonna’s best friend being Korean, it only seemed fitting to celebrate this incredible child in a special and unique way. During the ceremony the child is placed in front of a table with different items representing career paths. It is said, that the item the child selects is the path that he or she is likely to go down. Adelia selected paint brushes which indicated that she would be an artist like her mama.

The Harris family wore elaborate and stunning traditional Korean dresses and after the ceremony the celebration continued with food, balloons and cake! It was an incredible day to be a part of. God Bless you Adelia!
