It feels like yesterday I was walking into Jen and Agam’s home in Dumbo, Brooklyn after they just brought their beautiful daughter home from the hospital. That newborn session was unforgettable. You can take a walk down memory lane with me HERE.

Then fast forward one very fast year and I was photographing Siena’s first birthday at  Jane’s Carousel in Dumbo, Brooklyn. (You can see images from that delicious drool worthy birthday session HERE ). Now the Jain’s have moved back to Miami to enjoy the warmth and build a home! For this years lifestyle family session, Jen chose a Bedtime Story Session. Bedtime Story Sessions always give me the tingles, both while shooting them and in the post production. I love looking through the edits knowing how happy my client is going to be seeing their beautiful life reflected back at them. The Jain’s have the most gorgeous little girl Siena with a big ol’ personality bursting at the seams. She is intelligent and outspoken in the best of ways and I loved having the opportunity to get to know her in her own domain.

We began our session with some photos in and around their Coral Gables property. There is a serene jungle feel around this home and it was the perfect backdrop for their earthy and effortlessly glamorous feel.

Siena has the coolest balance bicycle complete with an adorable little basket perfect for her favorite stuffed animal, a dinosaur. The Jain’s also have a guinea pig that Siena clearly adores. She sat with it in her lap and just giggled unapologetically.

Our Bedtime Story session wouldn’t be complete without a fun family activity. The Jain’s chose finger painting which I am always a big fan of. It fascinates me to see how a child chooses colors and patterns and what comes out of it is always a beautiful mess.

Our bubble bath was nothing short of hysterical as their dog took part in it and Siena covered him in bubbles which he truly didn’t seem to mind!

As always we closed our session with a book of Siena’s choice and a pillow fight that brought smiles to all of us. Thank you Jain’s for trusting me to document this time in your lives! I am so grateful to be the one to capture it!
