Childhood Unplugged • November

October is always one of my favorite months of the year. It starts with my first daughter’s birthday and ends with Halloween madness!! This year FROZEN was of course the number one hit in our home and with a FROZEN themed birthday, there was no doubt in my mind that I would have an Elsa and an Anna this year. I thought about suggesting other costumes as there would be so many but then I reminded myself that it was their choice and so we ran with it.

Our Childhood Unplugged session took place just days before Halloween so I decided to offer the girls the opportunity to wear their costumes ahead of time and come with me to a REAL castle. Some months it is hard to find something new and exciting and unplugged to do with the girls… this was no exception but just as I was ready to seek all the help I could get I saw a sign while driving in my very own neighborhood. A sign I have seen time and time again and always “thought” about checking it out… only now WE had a reason. Kips Castle is just a hop, skip and a jump from our very own home and it houses one of the most beautiful castles and castle-like grounds I have ever seen! I brought my iPhone and played the entire sound track to FROZEN as my girls imaginations soared!
