On my recent trip to Miami I had the pleasure of capturing a Bedtime Story Session with the adorable Gaines Family.  Stephanie and Austin have created a magical world in their Miami home for 18 month old daughter Penelope (Penny). Most children have a favorite word at this age, and it is “no” but little miss Penny stole my heart with her constant and easy going personality, always saying “Yeah” calmly and sweetly to any question!!!

The family began our session with an awesome painting session culminating in one of the sweetest pieces of art with hand prints from mom dad and baby and a whole lot of memories made. Penny loved this activity and would say “Penny do it” and daintily place her hand on the paper. After the painting a bath was much needed and welcomed by little Penny and her dog Camilla (named after none other then one of my personal favorite female characters, Camilla Soprano). Penny popped and caught bubbles happily, got washed up by her daddy Austin which is their ritual together and then cleaned off her own toys with the shower head. (Her favorite bath-time activity).

Once she was squeaky clean, mom and dad got her ready for bedtime in her gorgeous room complete with a tiger that I kept thinking was totally real every time I walked by. Reading time with Penny and a true family affair. Doggies and kittys joined in the fun with Dr. Seuss and a few other reading favorites.  After reading Penny put all her favorite toys and lovies to bed and did her special handshake with mom and dad for me to capture with my lens. This beautiful family will be adding another member this Fall, and I simply cannot wait to see them all again!!!!
